Fixed Flat Rooflights
Bespoke sizing · UK manufactured · Delivered to your door
Minimalist by design. Built to last.
Every Fablight rooflight is fabricated in-house using our own aluminium profiles — we don't outsource any part of our manufacturing or installation. The result is a product held to the same exacting standard as our high-end structural glazing: thermally broken frames, structural silicone borders, and bespoke sizing as standard.
Polyamide Thermal Break
An advanced, multi-chambered structural barrier inside the frame prevents thermal bridging. This completely eliminates internal perimeter condensation "frame sweating" and dramatically lowers overall U-values to meet modern Building Regulations.
Dual Structural Silicone Sealing
The insulated glass units are bonded into our aluminium profile sections using commercial-grade structural silicone. Unlike cheaper alternatives that rely on failure-prone rubber gaskets or ceramic tape, this creates an unyielding, UV-impermeable bond that will never perish or leak.
Concealed Internal Fixings
The structural frame drops cleanly over your 150mm timber upstand, anchoring horizontally via an internal shoulder flange. No ugly exposed external screws or fixing brackets, maximizing home security while keeping a flawless silhouette.
Available as a single pane up to 4.5m², or as a modular multi-pane system for larger openings. Double or triple glazed.

Why customers choose Fablight
Survey & fit — no builder required
We are the only UK rooflight company that offers a full survey and installation service. No coordinating separate glaziers and builders to be on site simultaneously. We handle everything, and if anything leaks, we fix it — no arguments.
Structural silicone blackout border
We use structural silicone — the gold standard — for the blackout border around the glass. Cheaper rooflights use resin paint or ceramic coatings that peel, crack and fail under UV exposure. Ours won't.
Bespoke blackout to any size
We make the blackout border to your exact upstand dimensions. Competitors fix their blackout at a standard size — if your upstand doesn't match precisely, you're left with an ugly visible border inside or exposed plasterboard edges visible from above.
Not all rooflights are equal
Understanding the difference between a structural rooflight and a "frameless" unit could save you thousands.
"Frameless" rooflights
- A double-glazed unit simply bonded onto your upstand — no structural frame
- The IGU seal is fully exposed to UV, heat expansion and contraction — it will fail
- No security: the glass unit can be lifted clean off from outside
- Cheaper upfront, but typically needs replacing within 10–15 years
- Standard blackout size — rarely aligns with your upstand
Structural aluminium framed rooflights
- Built-in structural aluminium kerb — the frame is the upstand
- IGU seal fully protected inside the frame, shielded from UV and weather
- Secured into the structural frame — cannot be removed from outside
- 10-year frame warranty, 20-year unit seal warranty
- Blackout border made bespoke to your exact opening size
